Hi Steve,
Paula is on the right track here. If the file format is .brf or .brl, no
translation will happen. It’s when you’re in any other file type, like .txt or
.rtf, that VU translates each word.

I’m puzzled, as I use Grade 2 braille and don’t have this problem. Is it
possible the customer is trying to type Grade 2 braille into a text file? It
might be helpful to walk through creating a document together and have the
person double-check the file extension that comes up.

Hi all,
I have a query from one of my customers, as I resell the Vario in the UK.
Is it possible to have the Braille display show words as you type, rather than
putting a single word on the display line until you press enter?
It does this with Computer Braille, but not in contracted Braille. In other
words, it doesn’t translate until you hit enter, but there seems no way to
review what you have written on a single line.
