Directions clarification - I recommend that everyone get off of 95 at the
Elmont exit. The 2nd light after the exit is Rt. 1,which is just north of
Greentop. Travel north about 5 miles and Luck Chevrolet is on the left side
of the road across from Sheetz.
We will meet at Luck at 7:00 in the side parking lot facing Sheetz.
Be prepared for wet, mucky conditions.
Rain date will be Sunday 4/27.

Bob,
About all you can do is post a notice on the Listserv with the date and
time, improved directions mentioning the 5 miles factor you referred to, and
pumping it up with some of the latest info. I remember some of us went to
Michelles after the walk and that was a lot of fun too. Maybe that could be
mentioned as well as something one can do. The whole trip is one of the best
RAS has in my opinion, and we should write it up to reflect that. If you
want me to post it I'll help with that, but I'm sure you could do a great
job. Whatever you post, how about sending it to me separately and I'll
forward that to Bob Schamerhorn so he can put it on the website?

We've tried unsuccessfully for a couple of years to have the directions
improved and to specify a rain date (if possible). Many people have
complained about the directions being misleading. Directions have stated
that Luck Chevrolet is near Greentop and as you know, it's not, it's
actually 5 miles north. I know it's late but do you have any suggestions?

Bob & Linda,
I noticed that the time in the Thrasher for your field trip on the 26th is 7
AM. Last year the same time was in the Thrasher but it was actually 7:30.
Are you aware of that, or maybe the time is really 7 AM this year? If it's
7:30 maybe you want to post that on the listserv. I put in the Thrasher
whatever I get from the FT people, but last year Linda (Warfield) got there
at 7 and it was 30 minutes early.
