We had our first 2021 ruby throated hummingbird here in New Kent along Lake
Chickahominy this afternoon. Where else are they dropping in here in the
capital region? It's time.
Today's hummer came to kitchen window and to sunflower feeder that hasn't
been swapped out yet. We still have 6-12 evening grosbeaks at feeders in
the morning. Put out sugar water immediately. Looking forward to tomorrow.
If you consider birding the Chickahominy, wood ducks are house hunting in
trees.
