Hello all -
I promised to send a follow-up email on a few of our announcements from the
March member meeting. Details are below:
*Year of the Bird*: This month's Year of the Bird action item focuses on
using native plants in your yard and garden. If you looked at the native
plant finder resource on Audubon.org, you were probably a little
disappointed. Here are some much, much better resources:

*Bird-A-Thon*: If you are interested in getting a team together, here are

*Finance Committee:* We need just one more volunteer to serve on our
Finance Committee. This is a fairly easy project that will involve looking
over our treasurer's reports and bank statements and preparing a brief
report for The Thrasher on the state of RAS's finances. This is a control
we put in place two years ago, and we'd like to have some independent
folks (meaning not on the current board or a household member of a current
board member) serve on this committee. This will be the first time a
finance committee will meet, so I can't give a precise estimate on the time
commitment, but I do not anticipate this involving more than a few hours of
your time. Please let me know if you are willing to serve!
*Board Members: *We are coming to the end of our 2017-2018 fiscal year, and
we have a few board positions that will be opening up for the 2018-2019
year, which will run from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019. If you are
interested in serving on our board or on a committee, please let me know.
We have specific needs for a new Cyberspace chair, a Thrasher editor, and a
Hospitality Chair, but if you have an interest in serving in any capacity,
we'd love to hear from you! Please reach out to me within the next couple
of weeks if you have an interest!
