Just FYI. Beyond the usual suspects I saw a pair of Horned Grebes off of
the point at Sunday Park in Brandermill with male was in nearly complete
breeding plummage with the gold "horns". Striking! There were also a pair
of American Wigeons and a pair of Gadwalls along with several Bonaparte's
Gulls. At the Genito Road pull-off (Kasparavop Spot) was a nice flock of
Red-Breasted Mergansers and the other birds we've been seeing for a while.
No sign that I could find of the Black Crowned Night Heron previously
reported. Rats!
