We read on the listserv yesterday that someone had seen a Pine Siskin at
their feeder, and that this seemed a little late. I have never seen a Pine
Siskin at our feeders, but this morning I found a finch on our nyjer feeder
that had a bill to fine for our regular house finches, and lots of very
dark streaks - much darker than the house finches. When I took this
picture, I found a little bit of yellow on his wings. Can someone please
confirm or correct my assumption that I have seen my first Pine Siskin?
