Oh the absolute adabtibility - the pure genius - the delight of this bird!
On 3 separate occasions in the past couple of weeks we've found Carolina
Wrens on nests in unused newspaper boxes!!! Many of us now have online
newspapers, and the folks still receiving at home delivery have bagged
papers in their driveways!!
These unused plastic tubes are water proof, have ventilation from the
bottom and ARE EMPTY! Just perfect for a nest!
We found a wren with eggs on a nest west of Charlottesville, outside
Hopewell and near Midlothian!
Nice recycling wrens!
