A Black Swan viewing party will meet up at Pocahontas State Park on Sunday
(12/26/04) morning at 11:00AM.
If you'd like to join us down at Beaver Lake to look for the lovely Black
Swan, meet us in the CCC Museum parking lot (the Heritage Center is on the
right as you turn left off the main park road; bear left and you'll see the CCC
Museum straight ahead).
To get to Pocahontas State Park (for those not familiar):
Chippenham Parkway to RT 10, Ironbridge Road
RT East, Chester
At the intersection of Beach (right) and Lori (left) roads, turn RIGHT onto
Beach Road
Drive approximately 3.3 miles to the park entrance, on the right side of the
road
Drive past the contact station (don't forget the parking fee!) and park
office, proceed down the main road
After you go down the big hill and start to drive up, look for the CCC
Museum/Heritage Center sign
Turn LEFT off the main park road to the Museum lot
Bear left and pass the Heritage Center on your right; CCC Museum parking lot
is straight ahead, park anywhere
Walk behind the museum and down the hill to the lake - we'll be around there
on the trail
