The 3 WHITE IBIS found by Amanda and Julian continue at Briery Creek Lake
along with some other shorebirds seen at a distance from the Route 701 boat
ramp. Most of us had the chance to see them already.

Evan (Only found one WHIB first but eventually 3 appeared at one time, plus
5 PECTORAL SANDPIPERS and 2 LITTLE BLUE HERONS):

Jeff (CASPIAN TERNS too!): http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S38373508
Nice flock of LEAST SANDPIPERS at the causeway area located at the northern
end of the lake. Mike and I had 12 total on the mudflats Thursday. Possibly
county/region high count record:

Today A&J saw 3 LESAs and a few PESAs appeared too:

All birds mentioned may seem normal to some, but these sightings and
numbers are quite unusual for the south-central Piedmont where mudflats are
in short supply. Hoping for more strange arrivals on the mud in the coming
weeks.
