VA Birders,
This morning just outside my dining room door a female HOODED WARBLER was
hopping about in the cherry tree. That's the second one in a couple of days. A
few moments later a WORM-EATING WARBLER and a RED-EYED VIREO were in the same
tree, while a SCARLET TANAGER in fall plumage investigated the shrubs around
the yard pond. It won't be long before the waves of warblers start to move
through the yard. The push usually starts around the 25th. of August and
reaches its peak in mid September.
Enjoy the birds,
