Subject: [Va-bird] Snowy Owl at Dulles Airport continues - Loudoun County
The Snowy Owl recently found at Dulles continues there. Howard Wu saw it
earlier today and has better pictures than I do -

To see it, I parked at Parking Garage 2 (
http://www.flydulles.com/iad/parking-garages-1-2 ;) - which costs $6 for the
1st hour and more beyond that.
I went to the 5th (?) level (there is plenty of parking up there) and used
a scope. The view from the 4th level would have been about 100 feet closer,
but no free spaces there.
Find the tall tower, and scan left along the roof of the farthest building
(terminal) you can see. You'll notice a couple of vents of some sort along
the closer part of the roof (below the roof line of the main roof). The owl
was above the second vent to the left of the tall tower. That vent has a
sign near it that has an arrow and says 'FDC' on it in red. You can see
this pretty well in Howard's pictures...he saw it in pretty much the same
basic location despite us seeing it many hours apart.
