Sorry forgetting this; we are in Hampton.

Today around 2:00 we had 20 or so Chipping Sparrows move into the yard.
They are infrequent visitors to the yard and usually just 1 or 2 at a
time. They were joined by half-a-dozen Song Sparrows and another
half-a-dozen White-throated Sparrows. At one point the yard seemed to
be
vibrating with their movements. And while watching those, Sharon saw a
Woodcock sitting in the back garden. It was sitting for about 30
minutes
but during that time it would occasionally start vibrating its body up
and down without moving its head at all. It then started probing the
garden dirt and stayed for at least another hour.
And back on Wednesday after the snow we had yard-first Eastern
Meadowlarks in the marsh out back. There was also continual activity at
the feeder that day with almost 30 House Finches and a steady diet of
chickadees, titmice, woodpeckers and sparrows.
Its been a nice week to bird from the windows.
