Number of species: 32

Brown-headed Nuthatch 4 Note by AW: The Brown-headed Nuthatches
were in the tall, fairly dense pine woods a little ways from the open
section of the trail where the Prairie Warblers and chats were. There
were several there. Again we used mostly sound for the ID, but that was
pretty certain since the sound is fairly distinct and the habitat was
right as well.
Note by WDE: species has been recorded in other parts of the park
several times in recent years.
