A friend and I went to see the bluebirds at Riverbend Park.
It was a glorious day and we also heard lots of white-throated sparrows,
saw several ruby-crowned kinglets, pairs of Carolina chickadees, and
warblers--possibly yellow-throated. Also, a pair of cormorants sunning on a
rock in the Potomac River. The bald eagle nest on the other side of the
river had a huge "Occupied" sign and I'm guessing it had eggs in it.
