As one who birds Riverbend and is involved with the current breeding atlas
there, I cringe when reading reports of roosting owls on any public
list serve, facebook etc. I thought there was a policy here, perhaps
unwritten. But common
practice is to let these go unreported. Reference ebird link below.
There has been issues with this in the past and particularly with a Screech
Owl.
