Visited Craney Island Friday morning.  Unseasonably cool temps (in the 50s
for most of the morning!), overcast skies and sporadic rain showers may
explain low numbers.  The previous several years produced Black Skimmer,
lots of terns as well as fledging Brown Pelican, many doing synchronized
diving with adult parent. Active construction on the island may explain
their absence this year.

Only two highlights - a female Red-breasted Merganser resting, preening and
swimming and several adult Gull-billed Tern.
