All,
Had a decent morning at NY Monuments at Manassas Battlefield this
morning. Warblers included Chestnut-sided, Magnolia, Canada, Wilson's,
Ovenbird, Black and White, Black-throated Green and Pine. Others -
Scarlet Tanager, many Yellow-billed Cuckoos, Red-eyed, White-eyed, and
Yellow-throated Vireos, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, and seemingly ubiquitous
Eastern Wood-Pewees. They were everywhere and chased off a small
flycatcher that I'm pretty sure was a Least. I just didn't get a good
enough look to tell for sure before a pewee dive bombed it and it
disappeared.
I shall return tomorrow to see what the cold front brings!
