Yesterday I made a visit to the Wilna Unit and found many of the usual
suspects - Yellow-breasted Chat, Indigo Buntings, Dickcissels, Grasshopper
Sparrows, Common Yellowthroats, and Northern Bobwhites. The surprise was a
Least Bittern that flew-up twice while watching from the bridge over the
spillway. The bird was moving from right to left as you overlook the marsh
area, and it was directly out from the bridge about 30 meters.
