Hola Birders,
Hey today was a slow day with warm temperatures, no wind and partial cloud
cover. 100 raptors were counted today. Here's the breakdown:
OSPR: 24
BAEA: 2
NOHA: 2
SSHA: 18
COHA: 3
BWHA: 17
AMKE: 13
MERL: 21
Our total to date is 1,213 birds. After two weeks of counting in 2002 the
total was 1,185 and in 2003 at this time the count was at 861 raptors.
Contrasting our numbers with these two previous years I see we are ahead on
Broadwing numbers and down on Kestrel Numbers. They'll all come in time.
