It was a cold (36° F) and very blustery morning at Huntley Meadows as 11 of us
gathered for our usual Monday morning birdwalk. Despite the high winds, we did
manage to get most of the usual suspects, with the highlight being everyone
getting a good view of one of the Barred Owls. While our usual "leader" Harry
was still unable to attend, we managed a speakerphone call so he could
participate in the effort and so everyone could share Christmas greetings. Our
