Weather:
Raptor Observations:
Steady, weak flight on NE-E winds; many birds high. First golden eagle of
season, a lovely HY bird in nice light.
Non-raptor Observations:
Blue grosbeak; flyover lesser yellowlegs, Am. golden plover, and what was
apparently a monk parakeet; a few chimney swifts still around; red-headed
woodpecker; bank swallow; 52 migrating great blue herons; 725 blue jays
heading south; Bicknell's thrush banded at banding station.
