Several of the more stationary cousins of these mysterious birds and their
whirlybird cousins can be seen from 395 in the Pentagon South Parking-lot.
As for more regular birds here, there are plenty of HOSPs and Mockingbirds,
several species of gull which I will identify and report, and an occasional
hawk looking for lunch, which I will hopefully identify soon.
Cheers!

There were three unusual birds flying in formation over Tyson's Corner
this morning at about 1115am.
I had my camera at the office since I was going to Meadowlark Gardens at
lunch and I managed to get a picture:

I know - it isn't exactly on topic. But they are birds. Sort of :-)
To make the post somewhat on topic, I'll mention that I did get to
Meadowlark Gardens at lunch and there were quite a few Palm Warblers near
the main pond. I got a few pictures of them too and I'll add them to my
gallery later.
