[Va-bird] Goodwin Islands, 2 June- "female" Harrier

Wooded areas loaded with deerflies.  Worst I have encountered in some years.

Best birds:  female-plumaged Harrier, and about 7 dowitchers.

Seaside Sparrows common on farther-out, marsh islands, plus Clapper Rail.

One adult Bald Eagle.  2 Mallards (not Blacks).

Quite far for a kayak or canoer from the boat landing described in the VA coastal birding trail guide; even a pain for a small motorboat, but a nice marsh. The upper ends of the marshes might have Black Rail at night.
