Ralph Wall and I spent about two hours walking up and down the river at
Riverbend Park this afternoon looking for ducks.
We found two female goldeneye swimming and actively feeding with the
Bufflehead about 150 or so yards up river from the visitor center. They were
not too far out so we got nice looks in the afternoon sun.
Downriver we found the first large number of Ring-necked Ducks, probably 100
or so. Not much else except a few Bufflehead.
Winter is coming.
