VA Birders,
Bird highlights at Fort C. F. Smith Park in Arlington this past week
included a pair of WOOD THRUSHES, and a female BLACK & WHITE WARBLER bathing in
the park's Bird Stream on Tuesday, May 16. On Wednesday, May 17, we saw a
RUBY-THROATED HUMMINGBIRD, female NORTHERN PARULA, 3 BLACKPOLL WARBLERS, and a
male
COMMON YELLOWTHROAT; at least 2 Blackpolls and the Yellowthroat bathed in the
stream. This morning, Friday, May 19, I found a pair of GREAT CRESTED
FLYCATCHERS and a VEERY in the park.
Good birding,
