[Va-bird] Directions to Pinewood Lake (BB Whistling Ducks)

Several people have asked for directions, so I figured it best to post
them. Directions are from 495 in Alexandria.
From the Rte. 1 exit off 495 towards Ft. Belvoir. Drive about 6-7
miles south on Rte. 1. Watch for a Multiplex on the right. Just
after the Multiplex, turn right on Buckman Rd (traffic light). Go
through one 4way stop. At the second 4way stop, turn right on Russel
Rd. Turn left on Lawrence St. After another 4 way, make first left
on Pinelake Ct. You can park on the curb, just don't block any
driveways. From the court you'll be looking directly at the small
island I last saw them at. They also spent some time at the dam to
the right. A paved path circles the entire lake.
In the morning or evening, you may run into Ginger. She's a gruff,
but very nice lady who watches over the domestic duck flock. She is
very protective of them and a little suspicious of visitors (she also
heads the Neighborhood Watch). Feel free to drop my name (we're
friends). Say something nice about the ducks and you'll probably win
her over.
