VA Birders,
I went to Chincoteague NWR last Friday and took a few pictures. There are
also a few shots in the gallery from Delaware which I took the next day.

In addition to the birds pictured, Chincoteague had a nice variety of terns
at Tom's Cove. There were Black Skimmers plus Common, Forster's, Sandwich,
Royal, Caspian and Least Terns. A couple of Cattle Egrets were also hanging
around near where the ponies often can be found.
On another note, the Northern Virginia Bird Club will start up our fall
schedule this Saturday, August 18 at Huntley Meadows at 8:00 AM. The walk
will
be led by Len Alfredson and me. A full schedule of our walks and field trips
can be found in our August newsletter, "The Siskin", which is now online. Go
to our website at _www.nvabc.org_ (http://www.nvabc.org) and click on
"Siskin" There are also details about our fall meetings and some special
events.
