Hi All - I was Birding PHP this morning and watching about twenty Tree
Swallows hawking insects that hatched. I found a Cave Swallow among them
that perched on the Brock Center. I took pictures for a while and can post
at home. Walking to my car by the pond on Dinwiddie I found two Cave
Swallows hawking over the water with a couple of Tree Swallows. I noticed
another smaller swallow with quicker wing beats and watched it for awhile
noticing brown swallow with white underpants that had a brownish wash on
chin neck and upper breast. I did not get pictures of that swallow as it
was too quick but saw it well for good looks to notice it as different from
the tree. Swallows in size coloring and flight cadence to call its late
Northern Rough-Winged swallow. Two Black Skimmed were sleeping on the he
flats with the gulls.
