Louise Tilson telephoned to report a CATTLE EGRET near her home this morning
(4/25) in Smyth County, VA.
This is just the second known spring record for the species in Southwest
Virginia.
David Raines and neighbor, Ed Bailey, had a Cattle Egret, April 20, 2004, in
Buchanan County.
This represents about the fourth or fifth record for a Cattle Egret in
Southwest Virginia.
