I went for a walk in the neighborhood at lunchtime today and heard a
Black-throated Blue singing. Also had Summer Tanager, Pine Warbler and
Great-crested Flycatcher.
At Woodville Park, which we visited April 11, there were already several
Ovenbirds and White-eyed Vireos.
For the past 6 weeks we've had 100+ Cedar Waxwings in our yard every
morning (high count was 305 on March 9, truly a sight to behold). We were
surprised it took so long for them to strip all the berries from our
various holly bushes, but we relished each day. We're down to 6-12/day now.
