Ken,

In steady rain on Friday, November 12th, we observed Juncos having a
great old time bathing in puddles in our back yard during what I would
call 'steady rainfall'. I was surprised - were they not wet enough
already?!

Cheers,

Subject: [va-bird] Bathing Fox Sparrows

Do Fox Sparrows like taking  bathes in the rain?  At noon today during a
downpour I saw 2 Fox Sparrows taking bathes simultaneously in  2 bird
bathes in our yard .  I cannot recall  seeing any species fluttering in
a bath while it was raining hard.
