VA-Birders,
This e mail I'm posting is for some friends who have
some vacation property in Virginia (lives in West Virginia).
They have recently observed some Brown-headed Nuthatches
which they thought Virginia birders might be interested in
hearing about, particularly the location .
Allen and Mindy Waldron observed 2 BROWN-HEADED
NUTHATCHES at the Lakeside Marina on Smith Mountain
Lake ( closest town--Penhook, Pittsylvania County, VA).
They first observed the 2 Brown-headed Nuthatches on
Sept 4, 2004. Then again on Nov. 13 and 14th, 2004.
Two birds were seen in Virginia Pines throughout the day.
If anyone is interested in more detailed directions, you may
contact Allen and Mindy at the following;
