Hello everyone,
Yesterday 11-20-04 3 members of the
Lynchburg Bird Club went on there annual
birding trip to Smith Mtn Lake State Park.
When we left Lynchburg it was drizzling. It
turn out to be a good day. We ended up with 46 species. On the way we took Rt.
707 and we stopped at a field about 1/4
of a mile on Rt 707 to look at Canada Geese. When we got out of the car I heard
Am. Pipits. We estimated about 100+ Am
Pipits and about 6 Horned Larks. We all
got real good looks at both species.
