[v-webmail] Re: Cannot log in to e-mail server

Thank you for the reply, Paul. If I'm not mistaken, your description of =
the solution would only apply to the IMAP portion of V-WebMail. =
Unfortunately, I am having problems with all types of protocols, =
including the POP3 setting.

I'm beginning to think it is a permissions setting somewhere, based upon =
the errors reported when I click the Help button on the login screen. =
Did you also have those errors when you encountered this problem?

Thanks again!
Mark

Dear Mark Vaught,=20

Since I know how it feels to not get a reply back from the v-webmail =
support
list, as I have in the past, I thought it would be a kind gesture to
contribute my opinion on your situation, since it has happened to me as =
well.
The problem you are encountering is most likely with either your =
configuration
of your IMAP server via v-webmail, or the IMAP server itself. =
Reinstalling
Apache and PHP usually doesn't remedy the situation unless you haven't
specified where the c-client IMAP extensions are in the PHP ./configure =
step.
After doing so, make sure the respective Maildirs have been created via
maildirmake and the correct path is recognized by both the IMAP =
server(usually
through telnet-ing to port 143) and v-webmail's configuration. Best of =
luck.
Don't give up hope.
