=/\= Sarah, Alone =/\= by Dr. Sarah Mollin-Kilgarran Sarah left Sickbay at the end of her shift. Ordinarily she would have stayed there, with the ship on alert status and Dr. Chastain nowhere to be seen -- but today she was just tired. And there were no rules forcing her to remain on duty when her shift was finished. The children were with Ruthie and Daniel; Sarah didn't even have Benjamin to fuss over, or a giggle from Rikka to make her smile. She went directly to the quarters that seemed so big and empty when she was there by herself, changed into her nightclothes, and crawled into bed. A little internal kick reminded her she hadn't eaten since breakfast. "Shut up," she muttered to the baby, pulled the covers over her head, and went to sleep. =/\= "The thought that life could be better is woven indelibly into our hearts and our brains." --Paul Simon
