"Hand in Hand"
Lt. Cmdr Sydney Morgan (guest appearance by Lt. Tawny Kink)
Syd and Tawny had relaxed enough to finish their dinner. They had actually
laughed a few times. It seemed that some of the tension was gone, it would
take some time but anything worth waiting for took time. Now that dinner was
over Tawny had agreed to let Syd walk her back to her quarter's.
They left the lounge and entered the hallway, heading toward Tawny's
quarter's. They walked in silence, but not a silence of tension but rather
peace at
reaching an agreement. Syd gently slid her hand into Tawny's hoping she
wouldn't pull away, instead she felt T squeeze her hand. They walked hand in
hand
to Tawny's quarter's. When they reached her door, they stood outside looking
at each other for a moment.
"Tawny, I had a really nice time tonight. Hopefully, in time we will get to
know each other better and learn to trust each other. Just know that I am not
going anywhere and if you ever want to talk all you have to do is call."
Tawny just nodded her head. Syd leaned in and gave her a gentle kiss on the
lips.
"Sleep well T."
Syd watched as Tawny entered her quarter's and the doors closed behind her.
Syd leaned against the wall with a silent tear falling down her face. She
stood there for a few minutes before she made her way back to her own
quarter's.
