Tak sat listening to everything that was going on. When she heard
that the first Enclave ship had been destroyed she knew immediately
why. It really annoyed her though that Takaram came to the very same
conclusion that she did. She didn't like that arrogant man. True,
most of the people on her planet in her cast would behave in the same
manner. But they never treated her that way because of her father.
Also, it had been a long time since her planet was destroyed, and her
race annihilated. She had grown up a lot and had learned a lot about
the universe. Being arrogant and smug like the Romulan, was a good way
to get yourself killed. The worst thing you could ever do in a fight
was underestimate your opponent. That's how she'd stayed alive.
People had always underestimated her, and it cost them dearly.
SNIP:
"Ah don't see as
there is a lot of choice, Captain," he said to Svonn.
"Ah think we have to help these people. They are not a pre-warp
civilization so does the Prahme Directive applah here? Ah don't
b'lieve so. The Enclave has to be stopped."
"Captain," Tak chimed in, "While I don't know much about the prime
directive nor federation policy, I do agree with the Doctor. We should
help . . . IF we can. If we have the capabilities to stop the
Enclave, we should. They did try to destroy us after all. The only
concern would be, DO we have the capability. This ship is very
powerful, and would have no trouble destroying one or even two Enclave
ships. However, we are but one vessel, with limited supplies and
repair. Exactly how many Enclave ships are out there is unknown. My
computer banks may be able to give us more information on these
people." She stopped there, her point was pretty much made and there
was no sense in beating a dead carthusian.
