Actually, vertical subs are not very common at all.
I'd say, you don't have to spend too much time for this area at least now that you have many things to do.

Yeah, i know (or at least suspected so:).
But now that i started with the read-direction support, i'm willing to at least bring it to a point where it handles most of the cases. Actually i do not assign the rotate-z as fontstyle attribute a very high priority. Thus it might take longer to become implemented than the rest of R-D and inline picture support, but it now has definitly been added to the wishlist :)
