Hi,
In IOS, double tap the piece, then double tap the square you want to move it
to. If you want to look at the board with your phone, add vertical
navigation to the rotor, if you have not done so and switch to that. You can
then flick up, down, left, and right to examine the board.

I haven't tried this with voice over. As such, I am seeking for any better
ways in which voice over can be used to push such pieces on the screen.
Hopefully there maybe a suitable tool to manage this.

interesting does this mean that a voice over iphone user can move his pieces
when he plays a game and here the opponents move? I fear not though!

Also one good thing about chess.com is that one can just push the pieces on
a IPhone screen. The other opponent can move the pieces no matter whereever
they are. This is only for vision players. But I get the assistance from a
sighted volunteer.  Its also fun playing there.

All,
one good thing about chess.com is they do have excellent video lessons in
their expensive diamond membership option, after badgering them most are now
supported by pgn files which you can then download to improve understanding
of the videos, also some of the forums are accessible but you need extremely
good knowledge of how to use your access software to extract setup positions
etc. I have not found online facilities such as game playing, trainers or
their puzzle stuff to be accessible at all.

 Janelle,

Please, keep us up to date on any progress with chess.com. I'd love to
be a beta tester if you all desire it. Also, I'm trying to find the
Lantern program/app where the ICC can be more accessible to me as a
 totally blind user.

I am a software developer that has an understanding of accessibility. If
they are open to the idea, ask them to put me in contact with their lead
programmer. I can give tem a short tech talk on how to make their website
accessible to screen readers.  Good thing: it is not that hard.

Cheers.

Hello everyone,
I have connections at chess.com and wish that they were more accessible to
you. I can try to talk to them but I would need your help to do it.
Any thoughts on this?
