[Umpqua Birds] Mountain Quail

Hi Folks,
This early afternoon (1pm), while driving up SE Hawthorne Drive up behind
downtown Roseburg, this male MOUNTAIN QUAIL was standing on the side of the
road. Luckily I had my camera with me!

Today at home, two WESTERN KINGBIRDS were checking out the transformer
brackets and other potential nest structures on nearby utility poles. I saw
them check out potential nest sites last year too, but they did not nest.
We'll see this year.
