Hi Folks, Mark Hamm and I are going to host a morning "field trip" to a couple places not far from Riddle. I'm especially hoping a few folks living south of Roseburg will be able to join us. The main location I'm hoping to explore is the Island Creek Day Use Area. It is a BLM site along Cow Creek, roughly 7 miles WSW of Riddle on Cow Creek Rd. The area has a nice diversity of brush species along the creek, trees nearby, etc. We're doing this on Friday morning because I think it gets a fair amount of use on weekends. Hopefully it will be a bit less crowded Friday morning. You can either meet at the location at 0740 (parking lot on south side of Cow Creek Road), or meet for carpooling from the Roseburg BLM visitor's parking lot, where we will leave at 0700. We will be done before noon (probably between 10 and 11), though you can leave any time you wish or stay longer. If you have any questions, reply to this email or give me a call. Hope to see some of you there. Matt Hunter 541-670-1984
