Overview of November CUF Meeting: * Police Report (Jane Boudrow) In the month of October, the police made several arrests. * The Crime Summit in North Side 11/19 (Lt. Keppy, Investigator with the District 5) * A 12% increase in burglary consisted mostly of 95 copper thefts. The thieves mostly targeted Houses with "For Rent" and "For Sale" signs. Neighbors need to watch out for neighbors and report unusual or suspicious activity. * A presentation was given on block watch, court watch, and other programs involving citizens active in crime prevention. * The police need our help. * UC Police need help distributing door hangers. Meet December 2nd at 9:00 am at UC Police office in the "Swing" building behind St. George Church. Lunch will be served. Call Karen Patterson at 556-4906. * At the request of the Uptown Consortium, the CUF trustees sent a letter encouraging NIOSH to relocate in our area. * The Block Captains will be hanging Christmas bows on trees on Dec 9. Meet at 10:00 at 313 Emming. * Those present voted on categories for spending the annual $7,000 - $10, 000 city endowment. The categories were: news letter ($1,000), clean up & beautification, membership ($750), and marketing & outreach. * HOLIDAY PARTY at St Monica Center behind church on Friday, Dec. 15 from 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm.
