Brian,
But How would that work? We need the sign in box to open up in the beginning so that the student doesn't have to initiate any action to get started. They are just prompted to sign in, or have their assistant sign them in. Are you suggesting that there will also be a hotkey for signing in?
David

Actually the more I think about this, the more urgent the requirement
becomes. One of the things we want to do at our Sight Village
exhibition next week is heavily promote this product. We want people to
actually try it out for themselves and this phrasing really could
ridicule the product.
We need a quick fix on this one I think.

Hi

I have spent hours with Typeability becoming extremely familiar with it
and appreciate the subtleties and improvements between the previous
version and this one.

I understand that when the student's name is entered, the correct
settings are loaded relative to the student. However, I would like to
see a global set of preferences so you can press Control+U to change
various aspects of the program prior to logging in a student. In
particular, the first time you create a new student prior to changing
preferences, we get language appropriate to a child. I do not really
want to demonstrate this to an adult, enter her name, and then for the
program to say "I've never played with you before and I am really glad
you are going to play with me" or words to that effect.

Also, if you do not enter a student name, and you press Escape three
times to quit, you are given the child's closing greeting.
