Subject: [troop286] Troop 286 Reminder
Good Morning Scouts and Scouters!
This is a reminder of tomorrow's leadership training class. The Senior Patrol
Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader and each of the three Patrol Leaders
should bring their Patrol Handbooks to the training. I need at least 1 adult
leader / parent to stay with their Scout during the training to satisfy Youth
Protection requirements.
Troop 286 will be conducting the Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops
(ILST) course over three different days, one 90 minute module per day. This
course will be conducted at the West Charleston Church of the Brethren on
Saturday, April 15, Saturday, April 29 and Saturday, May 6 from 1:30pm to
3:00pm each day in the Friendship room.
The purpose of the Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troop course is to
teach Scouts with leadership positions about their roles and how to most
effectively reach success in that role. It is intended to help Scouts in
leadership positions within our troop understand their responsibilities and to
equip them with organizational and leadership skills to fulfill those
responsibilities. Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops is the first
course in a series of leadership training offered to Boy Scouts. Completion of
Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops is a prerequisite for Boy Scouts
to participate in the more advanced leadership courses National Youth
Leadership Training (NYLT) and the National Advanced Youth Leadership
Experience (NAYLE).
The following Troop 286 Scouts are currently in leadership positions and are
invited to attend this course:
Jon North (Senior Patrol Leader)
Adam Cartwright (Assistant Senior Patrol Leader)
Caleb Sherck (Patrol Leader, Chaplain Aide)
Dylan Franck (Patrol Leader)
Max Colby (Patrol Leader, Instructor)
Aaron Doyle (Assistant Patrol Leader)
Nate Bailey (Den Chief)
Zane Bailey (Den Chief)
Eli Sherck (Scribe)
Adam Donahue (Librarian)
Colby Keiser (Quartermaster)
Sam Sortman (Outdoor Ethics Guide)
Alec Donahue (Bugler)
