I have Nortons 2001 and now 2002 and it has shown a few instances of torjans in my restore files and did quarantine that file.. and then I went in and cnahged them to unprotected and deleted them.... as I have said, many a freebie will flase read a file as being a virus.. in fact there are many windows files that can be detected as a virus when using one of the cheapo anti virus programs... and there are many legit files that arent a virus that also keys as a virus with those freebies....I now use Nortons.. but my actual personal preference is Kasperskis antivirus pro in its hightest level.. think its now called platinum.. but I have had some problems lately in accessing their site .. this is due to my cruddy Medicne park Telephone Company service... and yes that is my telephone company name... for real... tin cans, barbed wire, string and paper cups is the norm out here in Oklahoma.... so am now with Nortons.... and I update/check every other day for updates to insure am upto date.....One thing I have found out is that if you are using an older version of Nortons on Win Me it isnt too good.. it hastobe the version compatible with win me... and I believe that is Nortons 2001.... not sure on that part... and on my Nortons my screen it tells me I have 300 days left on my subscription service left for updates so am protected for a bit... hopefully all will be ok until next year some time... just have to watch my dates is all................
