Hi Douglas,
The HoA is the only bad part about our purchase. Both my husband I would
prefer to live without a HoA.
Since we're apparently stuck with it -- unless there is a vehicle to share
common costs without covenants, I wouldn't vote for anything that is more
restrictive than what the law requires.
As an example, the County has specific requirements for when you need a permit
to build a fence. I don't need a permit to build a fence around my property as
long as it's under 6' and it's compliant with all other requirements. The HoA
has specific requirements for fencing (split rail, no paint). Why do I need
permission from the HoA if I build a fence that is compliant with the county
regs and HoA aesthetic guidelines? I think it's overly burdensome. In this
case, I see no reason for the HoA to be involved unless a fence is put up that
is not compliant.
To me, the fence example, is a perfect example of HoA overreach and why I don't
like them.

Hi Stacey,
Yes, I think you are correct, so far as tonight's vote. However, an accurate
assessment of the 'how many' and 'why' associated with 'no' votes will help the
board understand what may need to be changed in order to get a passable version
crafted. It's helpful for us to know (as we now do) why you would vote no if
you were present.

Hi David,
I read it again and I'm interpreting a no vote as the same as voting no.
However, I appreciate the offer.

HI David,
Do you need the actual form? I went by the house and grabbed, but now it's
with me and I'm no longer there. Can I send you a photo of it?

Hi,
Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be able to make it. Too much going on with
the move and preparing for several guests this weekend.
I'm not sure it's possible to get our vote in without attending. If it is,
please let me know how.
Both Steve and I vote against the new covenants. The proposed version includes
language that is more restrictive than the county and we oppose any language
that is more restrictive than the county.
Thank you,
