How exciting! I have been super impressed by Jen Wilkins who is a part of
the SBC. Recently, I heard one of her coworkers (Elizabeth Woodson) who
graduated from Dallas--So good!!!!

Here's a link to her teaching out of 1 Samuel. I feel like they are upping
the bar on women/people in general knowing the Word and doing what the Word
actually says not just what they "think" it says to them right now.
I was just told this morning by the leader of our women's ministry that
those who teach studies are going to use Jen Wilkins book and the book of
Phillippians this summer together in a study. She wants to see if we can
figure out how to use Jen's Bible study techniques to go through books of
the Bible by ourselves. So we would be equipping women to study the Word
without the guide of someone else's study. I'm excited! :) She's an
incredible lady who went to UCLA and ended up in John MacArthur's church
out there. She has a group of college friends like Trailer 5 all spread
around the world. I told her about this group, and she was excited.

snuck in. :) I was honest and said I was independent, but I am yearning for
some type of network because I feel like I am floating. I know a lot of IFB
churches pride themselves on being independent, but I see way more
advantages to a network-totally my opinion. Anyways, these ladies are like
Trailer 5ers. Many of them listing off theology degrees, master's of
theology, and even MDivs so that they can be equipped to teach the ladies
in their community or become certified counselors. It's so neat to see so
many people coming together and begin to share ideas and have a passion for
discipleship and leadership in their church in regards to women.
I know this doesn't apply to most of you, but I was encouraged to see so
many women who pursued things we wanted 20 years ago, and they were able to
receive that type of training. I know that ladies like Beneth Jones who
spoke to us only did because of who she was married to. But, it's sad to
think of some poor theology being passed around due to lack of equipping,
and we were eager for something deeper, and many of those women leaders
weren't able to offer that.
Just thinking through some things, and I'm in awe and excited to see how
God uses this.
