I found 3 pics on Bugguide and a one in a private photo album and all are
darker
than mine but one of the Bugguide pics has the all white fringe. This species
or
even the genus isn't to be found on MPG.

Yeah, from the few pictures I have seen online, it seems that it is a variable
species. Try looking at bugguide and see if you can find a specimen that
matches
yours well.

The shape is right but the pattern isn't. There aren't many pics of this
species
online but if the ID's are correct, their pattern is extremely variable so
Siederia walshella is a definite possibility.

I suspect this one is a 435 Siederia walshella

I have a hard enough time identifying medium to large moths but the last couple
of nights has offered a big selection of micros which, for me, can be very
tough
to ID.

I thought this one would be easy to find but after looking through a few
thousand pictures, I've been proven wrong again. I almost missed it because it
was extremely small and so thin that from the top, it was virtually invisible.
Anyone recognize it?
