Your friend could subscribe to tn-moths and ncsc moths.
She could do it herself through the Freelists website
or I could add her to tn-moths.
I would just need her e-mail address and a request to subscribe.

Ok, so now you can add a moth for Overton Co.!
I have a Facebook friend from Dickson Co. who is interested in mothing. If she
decides to get into it big time, how can I get her involved with our group? We
haven't met in person, but she loves taking photos of nature and wanted to know
about how to set up a moth sheet and light. I may have a new convert! :)

I had a large gray moth last night that I assumed was a sphinx (that's what I
get for assuming!), it turned out to be a Carpenterworm Moth. No wonder I
couldn't find it in the sphinx section of MPG. I'll send in the Hodges number
when I post my latest report.

I would say pieces count, so long as you have more than half a moth..... like
turning in 1/2 a dollar bill into a bank. LOL

I had one Luna at my house, but it would not sit still for a nice portrait! I
saw 2 at Frozen Head SP in Morgan Co. (5-9-11) and the wings of one at Standing
Stone SP (5-27-11) in Overton Co.
I don't know if pieces count or not! :)

I haven't seen any Lunas in years, except one dead one in the woods last
year. This year I have had three.

    :-)

I'm trying to figure out why the large moths find it necessary to crash
into me several times before they make it to the sheet. Last night 2 Sphinx
Moths and a Luna let me know about their arrival in this manner.

That makes 6 Lunas for the year. I don't know what others normally see but
considering I didn't see any last year, this seems like a lot.
