Hi Folks,
This Saturday brings us the Meeman-Shelby Forest spring count. We will meet at
the Visitors Center at 9:30 AM and count at a few locations within the park
before enjoying a nice lunch together at the Shelby Forest General Store.
After lunch we will go to Eagle Lake WMA and see what's flying there. We are
required to have at least 4 observers for the count to make, so please let me
know if you plan on helping out. There is a $3 fee to NABA to participate.
The forecast looks great for Saturday with lots of sunshine and a high of 79
predicted. This count has been quite reliable for Harvesters the past couple
of years with 16 seen last year, and is usually loaded with swallowtails.
